Maui, I love Maui

Here's something I saw on Kara's blog (http://manualnotincluded.com/).

"Go to your 6th photo file, select your 6th photo, blog about it, then tag 6 friends. I’m going to throw in a couple more rules just for kicks and giggles. The friends you tag have to have a blog (that would be helpful, wouldn’t it?), and you can’t tag someone who has already been tagged (no one likes to hear the same story twice)."

Since I'm bored of studying, I looked up my photo files, unorganized, as usual. So the 6th folder file could be interpreted as many of them...so I chose this one.

I think Hawaii is my top favorite vacation spot. And, I've traveled a lot. I've been to Europe twice, Israel, NYC, California several times, Jamaica, The Bahamas, most of the states, etc etc...but, the Hawaii vacations have been the best ever! The first trip was in '03, and my dad actually tagged along, believe it or not. We went to Oahu and hiked the mountain there, did some snorkeling, and had breakfast on the beach daily, as it was right by our hotel. We also checked out the University of Hawaii, watched the movie Signs on the beach (before Joaquin Phoenix became a rapper), and tried delicious foods from the state.

The 2nd time to Hawaii was in the winter of 2005, right after the dietetic internship (i.e. unpaid work which we paid for by tuition!) Maui was our destination island this time; we were there about a week and left on Christmas Eve. We hiked, beached, and took a helicopter ride. One of the first days, we took the photo above - we rode down one of the volcanoes on bikes. It was fast, furious, a bit scary but very fun! Most of it was cruisin', but we had to pedal a few times. Every time my mother mentions another vacation, I automatically say, "HAWAII!!"
