i miss those college falls

These two are from the east campus - the one where my major is housed, and I teach here too.

Here's a photo from the main campus - I love the palms!

My university has four campuses, and I'm at the extreme far east one by a small airport. It's a little campus comparatively, but it does only house a few majors, like my majors, aviation, fire protection, and a few others? The nice thing, well really nice thing, is that parking is just $210 versus the $780-900/year at the main campus, and parking lots are everywhere. I love a good brisk walk, but during these 105F degree days, I'll stick to a quick stroll to my office/building. A lot of construction is going on, so in a few years (by the time I graduate), the campus will look much nicer.

I drove through the main campus in Tempe yesterday; the atmosphere and students reminded me of the falls at OSU. I miss those days - being young, carefree, meeting the new people in the apartment, classes, and organizations, walking outside to the bar or someone's house or apartment to hang out...I didn't see the sorority houses yet, but the fraternity houses looked like the usual from other universities. I found it strange that surrounding the campus or intertwining within it were numerous tattoo shops, liquor stores, restaurants, and shops.
